Consolidate Inner Strength
One’s health and wellbeing have a lot to do with the level of inner strength that include but not limited to the health and normal function of organs of the body, and the state of balance and suppleness of the body.
An example, a young male in his late twenties with solid build body look and ‘perfect’ muscle shape, the body look is among the best ones; his health check report is good. He comes to seek help for extensive muscle tightness; lack of energy; lack of appetite; low libido. Observation seen the tongue is quite narrow (bit less than half of mouth width, normally over two thirds), short and thin.
The external strong solid look gives active and fit and healthy impression, in this case. But the inner strength of the body shows signs of imbalance and lack of suppleness with associated excessive weakness to a point affects normal functioning of work and enjoyment of life, and observable depletion of essence.
To maintain good health and wellbeing, better efforts could be focused on building up and consolidating inner strength. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are a lot we can do to help.
Self Consciousness
Keep in mind what is normal, then one has the reference point to distinguish what is not normal. Become aware of what is normal for you allow you to become conscious about what is not normal, not helpful, not good. To look after and maintain your own health and wellbeing, such self-consciousness plays a central and essential role.
There are three levels of self-consciousness which could be easily seen by looking at the associated chain of evidence and consequences.
High level, the person enjoys good health and wellbeing, do the right things to avoid and prevent problems, achieve enjoying life without sufferings of health problems.
Middle level, the person thinks they are in good health and wellbeing, they tend to let the body to get over it when feeling something not right, though they would promptly seek help to get back to normal. They are prepared and ready to take decisive action to solve the problem to maintain what they think is satisfactory health and wellbeing conditions.
Low level, the person thinks some problem is a part of life. They tend to soldier on until they are stopped when the problem turned to an emergency. Such attitude could very likely allow small issues developing to big problem, and could eventually lead to missing important opportunities to make meaningful correction.
Our aim should be making best effort to get to the higher level and stay at the higher Level. We are here to help.
